I love sci-fi and screen graphics. For this piece, I wanted to create something that looked a little bit older. I revisited Ridley Scott's Alien and Blade Runner for inspiration, then looked for similar style images to create a mood board. I also pulled from my own memories of using an Apple IIe computer (with the green CRT monitor) for the overall look and feel.
In addition to the various effects that give the piece its look, I created an image using the JSplacement app that I could use as a luma matte. Then I used the fractal noise effect to simulate the blinking lights.
Finally, I created a short music track to add more dark sci-fi moodiness.

This is an image created with JS Placement. I used this as a luma matte on the second shot for the blinking lights.
